Jeff Bridges to Receive the Cecile B. DeMille Award at the 2019 Golden Globes

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced this morning that they will present the Cecile B. DeMille Award to Jeff Bridges for his six-decades long career in Hollywood.
Jeff Bridges is a part of Hollywood royalty with his father, Lloyd Bridges, being a prominent TV actor in his 1960's hit show Sea Hunt, and his brother Beau Bridges, an award-winning actor in his own right. Jeff utilized his family's talented DNA with blockbuster and critically acclaimed films such as The Last Picture Show, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, The Fabulous Baker Boys, Starman, The Big Lebowski and The Contender.
To Bridges' credit, he was one of the youngest actors ever to be nominated for an Oscar (1972, age 22 for Best Supporting Actor - The Last Picture Show) and one of the oldest to ever win ( Best Actor in 2010 at age 60, for Crazy Heart). He also won a Golden Globe for (Best Actor in Crazy Heart) and won the SAG Award for (Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role). Bridges received his sixth Oscar nomination for his role in True Grit. And in 2016, Bridges appeared in the film Hell or High Water for which he received his seventh Oscar nomination.
Congratulations go out to Jeff Bridges for a stellar career and this much deserved award. The 76th Golden Globes will be broadcast on January 6, 2019.
